Who are Elmac Services?

Elmac Services' principal consultant is Tim Williams. He has specialized in EMC for many years after an early career in electronic design. Well known in the EMC world, he is the author of EMC for Product Designers and The Circuit Designers' Companion, both published by Elsevier Science under the Newnes imprint, as well as co-author with Keith Armstrong of EMC for Systems and Installations. EMC for Product Designers has been translated into several languages and is widely used in design and test labs as a practical reference guide to the complexities of EMC design.

An experienced presenter, Tim has led or contributed to seminars and courses for ERA Technology, TUV Product Service, Schaffner EMC, the Institution of Electrical Engineers, Euro-EMC, NEPCON, and in-house for numerous companies and specialist events including the Zurich and EMC Europe biennial international EMC conferences. He has been a member of the IEE's EMC committee, has edited a special issue of the IEE Proceedings on EMC and is a technical assessor of accredited EMC test labs for UKAS and SWEDAC. He also sits on Working Group C of the EMC Test Laboratories Association.
